The idea of founding La Foca company was conceived in an undefined place and time.
The location was a Northern European country: Sweden. There, Sergio Oggero, attracted by the models of local building facilities, started to elaborate the analysis of prefab building techniques seeing this as the future of house living.
It was 1960 when Mr Oggero decided to take these revolutionary building models into the Italian market – where they stood as absolutely innovative.
The houses for the Italian local people of the period, were a synonym of bricks and therefore of immobility. La Foca instead, developed a newly conceived housing concept, where modular houses were created and improved thanks to the needs of the people living in them.
From that moment on the progress of building techniques, the continuous improvement in the quality of materials and the evolution of the house building concept led La Foca to be among the market leaders in the bio-building sector.
Nowadays La Foca is present not only in Italy, but also in France and in Latvia where a production site has been built.
