HEALTH SERVICE FACILITIES

Among the most important creations made by La Foca, the Grenoble ‘Centre for the war against cancer’ must be mentioned.
This extremely quickly built facility - complying with all the specific requirements, was highly appreciated by the French administration.
This is one of La Foca’s button holes, above all for the acknowledgements received in a territory where bio house building culture had already achieved extremely high standards.

ADVANTAGES

  • Building time precision and quick timing execution
  • Energy saving standards
  • Earthquake-proof structure
  • Insulation from electromagnetic pollution
  • Eco-friendly production and building techniques
  • Use of anallergic materials

TECHNOLOGY

La Foca uses the sandwich frame system, allowing different exterior finishing types: from exposed brick to plastering coat and wood. Insulation, inside the frames, is created thanks to different materials: glass wool, mineral wool, wood wool, etc.
The building supporting structure is made of wood. La Foca is able to develop very reliable production processes and construction techniques so to allow the building of high capacity structures, with multiple floors and mansarded roofs.
The Platform Frame, system can comply with any modular design and techniques in the wood made architectural building, exploiting a frame structure with high stability, earthquake proof and high heat seal features.
Every design by La Foca is carried out and tested by the Mitek 20/20 programme, whose filter of validation is in line with the in force Eurocode 5 standards.
The structures of the buildings by La Foca are therefore always adjusted and updated thanks to the combination between Italian standards and yet to be validated European Union directives.
